The Community Health Foundation is is seeking a dynamic, mission-driven leader to serve as our next Executive Director.
Job Description
The Community Health Foundation of Kay County exists to improve the health of the citizens of Kay County through community outreach. The Foundation provides grants to local organizations working to improve health, awards scholarships to Kay County students pursuing a degree in a healthcare field, supports and coordinates community health education, and works in partnership with local coalitions and nonprofits to address health issues in our area.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR JOB DESCRIPTION
The ED reports directly to the Board of Directors and responsible to:

Oversee the operations of the Community Health Foundation of Kay County

Implement a strategic program plan supporting the mission statement and develop an operating plan to execute the program

Oversee the development and management of the annual budget

Prepare and review monthly income and expense statements in coordination with the Board Treasurer

Lead Board in fundraising efforts

Co-chair the biennial fundraising event
-
Create, design and produce fundraising letters, emails, and communications to donors
-

Collaborate with community partners in health education, health promotion, and events
-
Oversee Internet presence including social media accounts and Foundation website
-
Communicate activities, growth ideas and results to Board of Directors
-
Co-Chair the Executive Committee of the Board and communicate with same
-
Ensure, in conjunction with the BOD, all required records are kept and available for inspection/review as required, including such things as non-profit corporation upkeep

Assist Board Chair in identifying and recruiting Board members

Assist Board with review and award of CHF scholarships

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of service or experience, experience in nonprofit organizations a plus

Excellent leadership and time management
-
Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and manage multiple priorities; must be self-motivated and able to work independently

Creativity essential, especially for seeking new funding opportunities and for enhancing relationships with donors
-
Demonstrates ability to successfully create and maintain trusting partnerships with diverse populations
-
Financial literacy and experience in managing a budget

Computer skills necessary, knowledge of QuickBooks and Board Management Platforms a plus
-
Excellent written and oral communication and skills

POSITION REPORTS TO:
Board President and Board of Directors
​
HOURS AND SALARY:
20 hours per week
Position starts at $30,000 annually
